Built right under the surface.
A properly built driveway here lasts decades. What shortens it is what you can’t see: skipped base prep, rebar left on the ground, the wrong mix and poor drainage. We don’t skip steps.
Base done right
The old slab comes out and we grade and compact a limerock or crushed-concrete base. Skipped base prep is the #1 reason concrete fails early.
Real reinforcement
#3 or #4 rebar set on chairs, or fiber mesh in the mix. Rebar dumped on the dirt isn’t reinforcement.
A mix made for Florida
A 4,000+ PSI mix for South Florida heat, with control joints planned before the pour.
Cured + inspected
Curing compound after finishing, and a permitted job isn’t done until it passes the final inspection that closes the permit.
